Thanks for your response and we understand that border delays are beyond your control. We had actually factored extra time into the journey and had allowed several hours for any sort of delay. But we were told by our driver that the delay could be up to 20 hours - that is not the average delay. Had we been told this at the outset we would certainly not started the journey on the bus. However, you have not responded to the important issue of drivers appearing to be colluding with hustlers and targeting people who may have flights to catch. We were approached within minutes by the driver who introduced us to a man who then asked for €300 to take two of us to Poland. They asked for cash up front and when we said we had no cash suggested driving us to a service station to get cash to pay him. It felt like we were being held hostage. Is this normal behaviour for bus drivers? They certainly were not doing us any favors and we wonder what role they played in this extortion. The whole experience was very upsetting It is alarming the drivers appeared to be aiding exploitation of.people who had come to their country to help the war effort.
